So, another - what - five years? More? And another journal entry. Stuff has happened, the usual, parenthood, real-life highs and lows and I find myself suddenly doing art again after a long absence. And music, but that's for a different community site. After some navel gazing I finally decided after twenty years to get out there and seek some illustration commission work, specifically in the small press/independent rpg area. Despite being a gamer since the early 1980's I hadn't been paying much attention in recent years and it's interesting to me how the small press sector has blossom
Getting there slowly but surely
Having trawled through all the scanned and computer based artwork I've got to hand I think I'm pretty much done with the first big splurge of deviations. Like many folk who've been drawing for a good while I've got pads full of stuff and an oversize A3 folder crammed solid with a variety of work at various stages of completion. I really need to sort through everything and make some headway in catalouging and posting the best bits. (That'd be the scond big batch of postings..)
It's really cool that some folk have commented on various peices of my art, as a person who tends towards the shy as far as creativity goes it's a pleasant surprise and
Starting at the start
Ok, so after years of vacilating I've taken the first tentative steps to putting some of my assorted doodles out there. I'm basically a black and white pencil & ink illustrative artist who's played about with design, painting and some computer art but keeps on coming back to the familiar ground of pencils and pens.
Goes without saying (but I'll say it anyway) i'd love to make art for a living, but will keep on making it regardless. I'm interested in rpg illustration (and illustration in general) and would love to collaberate where possible in paid or just plain interesting projects.
